CONSULTATION ON CHANGE TO ANIMAL RESEARCH LAW

QCA has sent a response to this consultation.

The UK Government has launched a public consultation on repeal of Section 24 of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act, which currently exempts animal researchers from having to disclose the details of their experiments under the Freedom of Information Act.


Animal protection organisations have long campaigned to have this “secrecy clause” removed.
