Remembrance Service for Animals.

The Animal’s War Memorial in Park Lane, London.

3pm Sunday 9th November 2014.

The event has been arranged by the Anglican Society for the Welfare of Animals.

Speaker: Pen Farthing, a Royal Marine posted in Afghanistan, and founder of NOWZAD.

NOWZAD rescues stray and abandoned animals in Afghanistan. Animal Aid is sending donations collected from the purple poppy campaign to NOWZAD. Please see here for more information about their work and how to donate.

    Thanks for your lovely photos, Louise.

    A reminder that QCA members and friends lay purple poppy wreaths at their local Remembrance Day services, so that the animals are also honoured as victims of war – confirmed so far are four towns in Powys, Eastbourne, Birkenhead and Nottingham.
