Welcome to Quaker Concern for Animals (QCA)

QCA believes all animal lives have sanctity and unconditional value, and we recognise their sentience. When discerning difficult questions about the treatment and welfare of animals, such as when an animal should be euthanised, we look to the spirit to decide what love requires of us. Practical considerations must be negotiated alongside our core principles of peace and compassion, always placing the welfare of the animals at the heart of our discernment.

Our Concern is to raise awareness in the Society of Friends of the plight, injustices and cruelties suffered by many non-humans.
