We were lucky to have dogs to accompany our group in the official remembrance parade and service at Eastbourne war memorial, where we lay a wreath of purple poppies.

This beautiful dog is Judge, a rescue German Shepherd, with his human companion Lee Rudolph, manageress of the Kit Wilson charity shop in Eastbourne. Judge caught the eyes of many people,  including one police woman who was on duty. After the service she asked about the purple poppies and took leaflets. She also said she was expecting her third rescue dog companion from Turkey.
