On 9 November we shall lay a wreath of purple poppies at Eastbourne’s War Memorial to remember the forgotten animal victims of war.
It is hugely encouraging that the Purple Poppy Campaign is so warmly supported by our local businesses, the Combined Ex-Services Association, Eastbourne Council, our MP Stephen Lloyd and all those who buy the poppies to wear. The purple poppies are available from Chase and St Anne’s vets branches, the Kit Wilson charity shop, Lush Cosmetics (on 8 November only) and Sainsbury’s from 3 November.

Staff at Eastbourne’s Chase Vets – Abi, Emma, Emily, Pip and Sabre, an ex-police dog – sport their purple poppies which are on sale in the practice.

Lush Cosmetics in Eastbourne’s Arndale Centre allow us to make a display of the poppies and sell them on 8 November. LUSH makes a donation as well

The Kit Wilson Trust in Hadlow Down, East Sussex are big supporters of the Purple Poppy Campaign. Pictured here are volunteer staff in Eastbourne’s branch of the Kit Wilson charity shop.

The Foreman and Hanna veterinary group has just come on board to sell the poppies in Eastbourne. Helen Elliott and Jean Clarke (who took the pictures) have worked immensely hard with our local veterinary practices. So big thanks to you Helen and Jean. Pictured here are Faye, Katherine and Bungle the practice cat.
We would also like to thank journalist Jean Clark, who took these photographs and who has given us such tremendous support this year.
Ann Johnson, Eastbourne
Great to see all this support for the campaign – well done, Eastbourne!
