On September 12th., PACMA, with AnimaNaturalis and other animal rights groups, organised, for the sixth year, a protest against the torture and killing of the Toro de la Vega in Tordesillas, and for the second year, in Valladolid, main administrative town of Castilla y León, which licenses this cruelty.
This year, the bull was Platanito – he perished under the lances of the brave people of this town, some mounted on horses, whom, in his agony, he tried to charge.
The groups say that this year, more than ever, the point had to be made that this savagery is not representative of Spain.
Some 300 people protested in the town, representing the bulls previously slaughtered in this spectacle of mindless cruelty.
Update – videos of the protests – with thanks to Wietse Haak:

Thank you, Chantelauze, who says:
These people have forgotten the meaning of the word pity. Compassion, ethics – they don’t know what they are.
Just see what they have done: God have pity on them. And on us.
Ces gens ont oublié la simple pitié,voilà tout.La compassion.L’éthique.Ils ne savent pas ce que c’est.
Quand on voit ce qu’ils font:Dieu ait pitié d’eux.Et de nous.
